This year`s amfAR Gala (Foundation for AIDS Research) was held on may 23rd 2013, at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d'Antibes, in occasion of the 66th Edition of the Cannes International Film Festival.

Roberto and Eva invited Sharon Stone, Adrien Brody, Kylie Minogue & Andrés Velencoso, Olivia Palermo, Karolina Kurkova, Liu Wen, Zhang Yuqi, Ludivine Sagnier and Josephine de la Baume to their two tables.

Roberto Cavalli, the official decor sponsor of the evening, set up the
charity event in collaboration with 'Tearose', under the artistic
direction of its founder Alessandra Rovati Vitali, combining elegant
floral compositions with Cavalli`s iconic zebra and tiger prints.

The 90 tables, seating over 900 guests, were set up with pieces from the
Roberto Cavalli Home collection and overlapping mirrors, gorgonias and
crystallized branches illuminated the prestigious Cavalli silk fabrics.
The result was a sumptuos 'mise en place' in pure Cavalli style.
Karolina Kurkova
A charity auction was held during the dinner, presenting a precious set of unique Roberto Cavalli Home collection pieces, donated personally by Roberto and Eva Cavalli, all inspired by the "gold" theme and recently presented at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan.

The auction`s proceeds were entirely devolved to the amfAR charity organization.

During the evening a fashion show was held, under the artistic direction of Carine Roitfeld, with special gowns created by the most important fashion houses.

Roberto Cavalli designed a special evening gown worn by Karolina Kurkova and a tuxedo worn by Jon Kortajarena, which were included in the charity auction.

I love that the Cavallis
are not just beautifying the world with fashion and design but also help
